يستحق الصحفي أجازة مرضية مدتها ثلاثة شهور كل ثلاث سنوات يتقاضى فيها أجره كاملا فإذا زادت مدة المرض على تلك المدة استحق ٨٠٪ من مرتبه عن الستة الشهور التالية و ٧٠٪ من مرتبه فيما زاد على ذلك .
وتتقاضى الصحفية أجرا يعادل ٧٠٪ من مرتبها إذا زادت مدة انقطاعها عن العمل بسبب الحمل على ستة أشهر . ولا يجوز للمؤسسة أو مالك الصحيفة أو من يمثله أن يفصل الصحفية مدة غيابها بسبب مرض يثبت بشهادة طبية أنه نتيجة للحمل أو الوضع .
