Your clients' data stays under your firm's control

FahmQanon processes a law firm's data, its clients' data included, on the firm's behalf and on its instructions, as a processor under a data processing agreement, and the firm remains the controller under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law 151 of 2020. Inside the firm, the firm decides who sees each case, our staff cannot see case files, and the firm's data is never used to train AI. The data is hosted outside Egypt, in the European Union, as the privacy policy explains.

How the data is protected

The firm is the controllerThe cases, documents and chats the firm and its members enter are processed for the firm alone, and used for no other purpose.
Who sees a caseThe case team and partners, the whole firm, or confidential to the team alone, with walls for conflicts of interest.
Our team does not see your casesUnless the firm admin grants time-limited access to one case, which ends by itself and is logged.
A log of what happensOpens, exports, shares, role changes and walls, in a log the firm admin reads and exports.
No training on your dataThe firm's data is never used to train AI, and we do not sell personal data.
Export and deletionExport all of the firm's data, or ask for all of it to be deleted after a 30-day wait.
People's rightsThe rights to know, access, correct, erase, withdraw consent and object under Law 151 of 2020, as the privacy policy explains.

What you should know

  • The data is hosted outside Egypt: the servers are in the European Union (Finland), and documents and backups are kept in private storage in Western Europe.
  • The AI model provider, in the United States, receives only the question and what is needed to answer it; under its terms for business use it does not train on them, and it may keep them for a limited period for security.
  • The sub-processors and cross-border transfers are set out in the data processing agreement and the privacy policy.

Who controls our case data?

The firm. FahmQanon processes what the firm and its members enter on the firm's behalf and on its instructions, under the data processing agreement, and uses it for no purpose of its own.

Where is the data kept?

Outside Egypt: the servers and databases in the European Union (Finland), and documents and backups in private storage in Western Europe.

Is our data used to train AI?

No. The firm's data is never used to train AI.

Can FahmQanon's team see our cases?

No. Our team cannot see case files, documents or chats, unless the firm admin grants time-limited access to one case, which is written to the firm's log and ours.

What happens to our data if we cancel?

It stays available until the end of the paid period, and you can export all of it before then or ask for it to be deleted.
