تقسم جمهورية مصر العربية لأغراض أداء الخدمة العسكرية والوطنية وأعمال التعبئة الى مناطق تجنيد وتعبئة تتبع ادارة التجنيد .
وينشأ في كل محافظة فرع تجنيد وتعبئة كما ينشأ مركز تجنيد وتعبئة بكل قسم أو مركز شرطة وتكون جميعها تابعة لمنطقة التجنيد والتعبئة الواقعة في دائرة اختصاصها ويصدر بتشكيل واختصاص تلك المناطق والأفرع والمراكز قرار من وزير الدفاع .
