يتم اختيار شاغلي وظيفة شيخ معهد ووكيل معهد لمدة ثلاث سنوات قابلة للتجديد
من بين شاغلي وظيفة معلم أول (أ) على الأقل ، وتحدد اللائحة التنفيذية إجراءات
وأسس الاختيار ويكون لكل معهد شيخ ووكيل أو أكثر بحسب عدد الفصول والمراحل
التعليمية بها ووفق احتياجات إدارة المعهد الأزهري على النحو الذي تحدده
اللائحة التنفيذية .
