Yes. A principal may generally revoke or restrict a mandate at any time, even if the parties agreed otherwise. If the mandate is remunerated, revoking it at an unsuitable time or without an acceptable excuse may require the principal to compensate the agent for the resulting loss. 1
Exception: if the mandate was granted in the agent’s or a third party’s interest, the principal may not revoke or restrict it without the consent of the person for whose benefit it was granted. 1
