تنتهى خدمة الضباط بالقوات المسلحة متى بلغ السن المقررة للتقاعد من الخدمة العسكرية فى رتبته الأصلية على النحو التالى :

٤٤ | ملازم
٤٦ | ملازم أول
٤٨ | نقيب
٥٠ | رائد
٥٢ | مقدم
٥٤ | عقيد
٥٦ | عميد
٥٨ | لواء
٦٠ | فريق
٦٢ | فريق أول
٦٥ | مشير
ويستثنى من ذلك الضباط المعينون والمرقون من الصفوف فتكون سن التقاعد بالنسبة لهم السادسة والخمسين فى جميع الرتب التى يرقون إليها .
