على الأجانب خلال مدة إقامتهم فى جمهورية مصر العربية أن يقدموا متى طلب منهم جواز سفر أو الوثيقة التى تقوم مقامه وغير ذلك من الأوراق وأن يدلوا بما يسألون عنه من بيانات وأن يتقدموا عند الطلب إلى وزارة الداخلية أو فروعها أو مقر الشرطة المختص فى الميعاد الذى يحدد لهم .
ويجب عليهم فى حالة فقد أو تلف جواز السفر أو الوثيقة إبلاغ مقر الشرطة خلال ثلاثة أيام من تاريخ الفقد أو التلف .
