يكون للمؤمن عليه أداء المبالغ المطلوبة منه لحساب المدة السابقة أو الاشتراك عنها إما دفعة واحدة خلال سنة من تاريخ طلب حسابها أو الاشتراك عنها أو بالتقسيط وفقا لأحكام المادة ( ١٤٤ ) ، وفي حالة أدائه المبالغ بالتقسيط يعتبر مشتركا اعتبارا من تاريخ استحقاق أول قسط .
ويوقف سداد الأقساط المستحقة على المؤمن عليه في جميع الحالات التي لا يستحق عنها أجرا ويستأنف السداد فور استحقاقه الأجر ، وفي هذه الحالة تزاد مدة التقسيط بقدر المدة التي أوقف فيها سداد الأقساط .
