Article 5 of the Journalists Syndicate Law

يشترط لقيد الصحفى فى جدول النقابة والجداول الفرعية :
( ١ ) أن يكون صحفيا محترفا غير مالك لصحيفة أو وكالة أنباء تعمل فى الجمهورية العربية المتحدة أو شريكا فى ملكيتها أو مساهما فى رأس مالها .
(ب) أن يكون من مواطنى الجمهورية العربية المتحدة
( ج ) أن يكون حسن السمعة لم يسبق الحكم عليه فى جناية أو جنحة مخلة بالشرف أو الأمانة أو تقرر شطب اسمه من الجدول لأسباب ماسة بالشرف أو الأمانة .
( د ) أن يكون حاصلا على مؤهل دراسى عال .
