يصدر بتعيين رئيس الجامعة التكنولوجية قرار من رئيس الجمهورية ، بناء على عرض
الوزير المختص ، وذلك لمدة أربع سنوات قابلة للتجديد ، فإذا لم تجدد مدته أو ترك رئاسة
الجامعة عاد إلى الوظيفة التى كان يشغلها قبل توليه المنصب .
ويشترط فيمن يعين رئيسا للجامعة أن يكون مصريا ، وأن يكون قد شغل وظيفة
أستاذ فى إحدى الجامعات لمدة خمس سنوات على الأقل .
