إذا اتهم قائد أية سيارة بارتكاب جريمة قتل أو إصابة خطأ بالسيارة فيجوز للنيابة العامة أن تأمر بإيقاف سريان رخصة القيادة المنصرفة إليه لمدة لا تجاوز شهرا ولها إذا رأت مد إيقافه أن تعرض الأمر على القاضى الجزئى ليأمر بإلغائه أو امتداده للمدة التي يحددها .
