يجوز بقرار من رئيس الجمهورية منح رئيس بعثة التمثيل الدبلوماسى والقنصلى الذى يشغل وظيفة مندوب فوق العادة وزير مفوض لقب سفير فوق العادة مفوض وذلك بصفة مؤقتة .
ويمنح المندوب فوق العادة الوزير المفوض الذى يحمل لقب سفير بموجب قرار من رئيس الجمهورية بدل تمثيل أصلى فى الديوان العام قدره ٥٠٠ جنيه سنويا .
