لا يتقاضى عضو المجلس الشعبى المحلى أية رواتب أو مكافآت مقابل عمله، ويجوز منح أعضاء المجالس الشعبية المحلية والمجالس التنفيذية مقابل ما يتكبدونه من أعباء طبقا لما تحدده اللائحة التنفيذية.
