مادة ٨٩ مدة المجلس الشعبى المحلى خمس سنوات ميلادية تبدأ من تاريخ أول اجتماع له ، وتنتهى مدة المجالس الشعبية المحلية الخاضعة لإشراف ورقابة مجالس شعبية محلية أخرى بانقضاء المدة القانونية لهذه المجالس .
ويجرى الانتخاب لتجديد المجلس الشعبى المحلى خلال الستين يوما السابقة على انتهاء مدته.
