An amendment not yet applied: Law 50 of 1981
يختص المجلس الشعبى المحلى للمحافظة بالنسبة للمجالس الشعبية المحلية الأخرى فى نطاق المحافظة وطبقا للقواعد المقررة فى هذا القانون ولائحته التنفيذية بما يأتى:
( أ ) الاشراف والرقابة على أعمال ونشاط هذه المجالس.
(ب) التصديق أو الاعتراض على القرارات التى تصدر من هذه المجالس فى الحدود التى تقررها اللائحة التنفيذية.
(ج) الموافقة على اقتراحات المجالس بانشاء أو الغاء الوحدات المحلية فى نطاق المحافظة أو تغيير أسمائها.
ويبلغ رئيس المجلس الشعبى المحلى للمحافظة قرار المجلس فى هذه المجالات الى المحافظ خلال سبعة أيام من تاريخ صدورها.
