لا يترتب على الاعتماد المستندى القابل للإلغاء ، أى التزام على البنك قبل المستفيد . ويجوز للبنك فى كل وقت تعديله أو إلغاؤه من تلقاء نفسه أو بناء على طلب الآمر دون حاجة إلى إخطار المستفيد ما لم يكن قد تم التنفيذ .
