يجوز بعد أخذ رأى المجلس الأعلى للشرطة ندب الضابط إما للقيام بعمل وظيفة خارج هيئة الشرطة بوزارة الداخلية بشرط ألا تقل درجتها عن رتبة وظيفته الأصلية أو ندبه بعد موافقته كتابة للقيام بعمل خارج وزارة الداخلية.
