تعد التقارير السنوية السرية عن الضباط حتى رتبة عقيد بحسب الأوضاع التى يعينها وزير الداخلية بقرار يصدره بعد أخذ رأى المجلس الأعلى للشرطة. وتكون التقارير عن كل سنة ميلادية، وتوضع خلال شهرى يناير وفبراير من السنة التالية.
ويكون تقدير كفاية الضابط بمرتبة ممتاز وجيد ومتوسط ودون المتوسط وضعيف.
