يقبل للدراسة بهذا القسم ضباط الشرطة ممن تتوافر فيهم الشروط التى يحددها وزير الداخلية بعد أخذ رأى المجلس الأعلى للشرطة ومجلس إدارة الأكاديمية وتشمل الدراسة إحدى مجموعات مواد الشرطة وذلك على الوجه المحدد فى اللائحة الداخلية للأكاديمية.
وتكون الدراسة فى كل مجموعة لمدة سنة دراسية، ويمنح الناجح دبلوم التخصص فى هذه المجموعة.
