يقتطع احتياطى المعاش من مدة الاستيداع التى تحسب فى المعاش طبقا لنص البند ج من المادة ( ٤ ) على أساس الراتب المقتطع .
ولا يؤدى احتياطى معاش عن الضمائم والمدد الإضافية المنصوص عليها بالمادتين ( ٨ ) ، ( ٩ ) .
وترد إلى المنتفع قيمة المبالغ التى اقتطعت منه كاحتياطى معاش إذا استغنى عن خدمته لعدم قضاء مدة الاختبار بنجاح .
