تتولى الجهة التى يحددها مجلس الوزراء لتحسين كفاءة استخدام الطاقة بالتعاون
مع الجهات ذات الصلة وضع السياسات التى تهدف إلى :
١ - التوسع فى تطبيق مواصفات وبطاقات كفاءة الطاقة للأجهزة والمعدات
المستهلكة للكهرباء .
٢ - استبدال الأجهزة والمعدات منخفضة الكفاءة ، وفقا لما تحدده اللائحة التنفيذية .
٣ - تحسين كفاءة استخدام الطاقة الكهربائية فى النظم الصناعية والتجارية .
