يستحق الموظف إجازة بأجر كامل عن أيام عطلات الأعياد والمناسبات الرسمية التى تحدد بقرار من رئيس مجلس الوزراء ، ويجوز تشغيل الموظف فى هذه العطلات إذا اقتضت الضرورة ذلك ، مع منحه أجرا مماثلا مضافا إلى أجره المستحق أو إجازة عوضا عنها .
وتسرى بالنسبة للأعياد الدينية لغير المسلمين أحكام قرار رئيس مجلس الوزراء الصادر فى هذا الشأن .
