Article 123 of the Maritime Trade Law

(١) إذا تقرر سفر البحار جاز له الحصول على
سلفة لا تجاوز ربع أجره الأصلي ، ويذكر بيان عن السلفة في دفتر
البحارة أو دفتر الحوادث الرسمي حسب الأحوال ويوقعه البحار .
(٢) ويجوز بتفويض من البحار أداء السلفة لزوجته أو أولاده
أو أصوله أو فروعه وكذلك الأشخاص الذين يقيمون معه ويتولى
الإنفاق عليهم.
(٣) ولا يجوز استرداد هذه السلفة فى حالة الغاء العقد لأى
سبب كان ولو وجد اتفاق على الاسترداد.
