لا يجوز للربان أو لأحد البحارة شحن بضاعة
في السفينة لحسابه الخاص إلا بإذن من رب العمل، ويترتب على
مخالفة هذا الحظر إلزام المخالف بأن يدفع لرب العمل أجرة نقل
البضائع التى شحنت مضافا إليها مبلغ يعادلها، وللربان أن يأمر بإلقاء
هذه البضائع في البحر إذا كانت تهدد سلامة السفينة أو الأشخاص
الموجودين عليها أو الشحنة أو تستلزم أداء غرامات أو نفقات .
