تتولى الهيئة العامة للتأمين الصحي علاج المصاب أو المريض ورعايته طبيا إلى أن يشفى أو يثبت عجزه ، وللهيئة المختصة الحق في ملاحظة المصاب أو المريض حينما يجرى علاجه .
ويقصد بالعلاج والرعاية الطبية ما هو منصوص عليه بالمادة ( ٤٧ ) وكذلك الرعاية الطبية والعلاج للمؤمن عليهن أثناء الحمل والولادة .
