لمجلس النقابة أن يقرر تفرغ عدد من أعضائه لا يزيد على ثلاثة من بينهم الأمين العام ندبا من الحكومة أو المؤسسات أو الهيئات أو الشركات وذلك لمدة أربع سنوات على الأكثر و بعد موافقة الجهات التى يعمل فيها المطلوب تفرغهم .
كما يجوز اتباع نفس نظام التفرغ بالنسبة لأمناء النقابات الفرعية بالمحافظات .
وتتحمل النقابة مرتبات الأعضاء المتفرغين .
