تتكون الجامعة التكنولوجية من عدد من الكليات والمعاهد التكنولوجية .
ويكون إنشاء الكلية أو المعهد بقرار من رئيس مجلس الوزراء بناء على عرض الوزير المختص ،
وبعد موافقة المجلس الأعلى للتعليم التكنولوجى وأخذ رأى مجلس الجامعة .
