تتولى اللجنة الاختصاصات الآتية :
١ - وضع معايير واشتراطات مزاولة مهنة العلاج النفسى لغير الأطباء النفسيين.
٢ - تحديد البرامج التدريبية اللازمة لمزاولة المهنة لغير الأطباء النفسيين.
٣ - التحقيق مع المعالج النفسى المرخص له ممن يخل بأحكام هذا القانون
أو بمعايير أو أخلاقيات مزاولة المهنة.
