تسرى أحكام هذا القانون على منشآت الصحة النفسية الآتية:
١ - المستشفيات المتخصصة في الطب النفسي سواء كانت عامة أو خاصة .
٢ - أقسام الطب النفسي بالمنشآت العامة والخاصة .
٣ - المراكز الطبية المرخص لها بالعمل في مجال الصحة النفسية .
ولا تسري أحكام هذا القانون على العيادات الخاصة الخارجية ، غير الملحقة
بمنشآت الصحة النفسية المشار إليها ، وغير المخصصة لعلاج المرضى النفسيين .
