على المرشد أن يجيب طلب السفينة التى عهد إليه بارشادها. وعليه أن يقدم مساعدته للسفينة التى تكون فى خطر وذلك بعد إخطاره والإذن له بذلك، وفى هذه الحالة يكون للمرشد ومعاونيه الحق فى مكافأة خاصة تحدد على النحو المبين فى اللائحة التنفيذية لهذا القانون.
