مع عدم الإخلال بأحكام قانونى مجلس النواب، ونظام الإدارة المحلية لا يجوز للعمدة أو الشيخ الترشح لانتخابات المجالس المحلية بنطاق القرية أو الشياخة المعين بها قبل تقديم استقالاتهم من وظائفهم وتعتبر الاستقالة مقبولة من تاريخ تقديمها.
