يقاس مستوى كفاية أداء عضو السلك بمراعاة العناصر التى يتألف منها التقرير السنوى ومن واقع السجلات والبيانات التى تعدها الوزارة لهذا الغرض بالإضافة إلى أية معلومات أو بيانات أخرى يمكن الاسترشاد بها فى قياس مستوى كفاية الأداء ويحددها قرار من وزير الخارجية ، وتحدد كفاية العضو بأى من المراتب الآتية :
ممتاز | ٩٠ درجة فأكثر .
كفء | من ٥٠ إلى ٨٩ درجة .
ضعيف | أقل من ٥٠ درجة .
