Article 96 of the Local Administration Law

تسقط عضوية المجلس الشعبى المحلى عمن تزول عنه صفة العامل أو الفلاح التى قام عليها انتخابه فى المجلس أو بفقد شرط من الشروط اللازمة للترشيح ويجب اسقاط العضوية عمن تثبت مخالفته لأحكام المادة 92 أو من يفقد الثقة والاعتبار كما يجوز اسقاط العضوية فى حالة اخلال العضو بواجبات العضوية الأخرى أو بمقتضياتها.
ويجب فى جميع الأحوال السابقة صدور قرار من المجلس باعلان سقوط العضوية أو باسقاطها وذلك بعد دعوة العضو لسماع أقواله فى المواعيد وطبقا للقواعد وبالأغلبية المنصوص عليها فى المادة السابقة.
واذا لم يتخذ المجلس الاجراء اللازم وفقا لهذه المادة يرفع المحافظ الأمر الى مجلس المحافظين ليتخذ فى شأنه القرار اللازم.
