يجوز لأعضاء المجلس الشعبى المحلى للمحافظة أن يطلبوا احاطة المحافظ وكل من رؤساء المصالح ورؤساء الهيئات العامة فى نطاق المحافظة علما بأمر له أهمية عامة عاجلة فى الشئون الداخلة فى اختصاصاتهم.
وتنظم اللائحة الداخلية للمجلس اجراءات وأوضاع تقديم طلبات الاحاطة ومناقشتها.
ولرئيس المجلس الشعبى المحلى للمحافظة أن يرفع تقريرا الى مجلس المحافظين للنظر فيما أسفرت عنه نتيجة مناقشة طلب الاحاطة من أمور لم تتخذ الأجهزة التنفيذية بالمحافظة الاجراءات اللازمة لتداركها.
