يعاقب بالسجن وبغرامة لا تقل عن مليون جنيه ولا تزيد على خمسة ملايين جنيه كل من قام بإغراق النفايات الخطرة فى البحر الإقليمى أو المنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة أو الجرف القارى مع إلزام المخالف بدفع تكاليف إزالة آثار المخالفة والتعويضات البيئية اللازمة.
