لا تتحمل الهيئة أية مسئولية عما يحدث من هلال أو ضرر بسبب عمل المرشد وتكون السفينة مسئولة وحدها عما يحدث لها أو للغير من هلاك أو ضرر ولو كان ناشئا عن خطأ المرشد.
وفيما عدا حالة الخطأ الجسيم من المرشد تكون السفينة مسئولة أيضا عن كل هلاك أو ضرر يصيب سفينة الارشاد أو القاطرات المستخدمة أو وحدات الخدمة أو ممتلكات الهيئة أثناء عملية الارشاد أو المناورات الخاصة بركوب المرشد أو نزوله.
