يعتبر مصريا من ولد فى الخارج من أم مصرية ومن أب مجهول أو لا جنسية له أو مجهول الجنسية ، إذا اختار الجنسية المصرية خلال سنة من تاريخ بلوغه سن الرشد بإخطار يوجه إلى وزير الداخلية بعد جعل إقامته العادية فى مصر ، ولم يعترض وزير الداخلية على ذلك خلال سنة من وصول الإخطار إليه .
