Article 20 of the Armed Forces Officers Service and Promotion Law

إذا نقل ضابط إلى إحدى المصالح المدنية أو استقال
أو أحيل الى المعاش فلا يعاد للخدمة بالقوات المسلحة إذا مضت ثلاث
سنوات على شطبه منها .
ومن تتقرر إعادته خلال هذه المدة يوضع فى كشف الأقدمية وفقا
لترتيب أقدميته الأصلية بين زملائه فاذا كان قد سبقهم فى الترقية فى وظيفته
المدنية أو كانوا قد سبقوه فى الترقية الى الرتب العسكرية فيعامل وفقا لحكم
الفقرتين الثانية والثالثة من المادة السابقة على ألا يمنح رتبة عسكرية أعلى
من رتبة زملائه عند إعادته .
