تنشأ هيئة عامة تكون لها شخصية اعتبارية، تسمى (جهاز تنظيم أنشطة سوق الغاز) ، تتبع الوزير المختص ، ويكون مقرها الرئيس مدينة القاهرة ، ويجوز بقرار من مجلس إدارة الجهاز إنشاء فروع أو مكاتب لها داخل الجمهورية .
