يتعين على الجهات الخاضعة لأحكام هذا القانون مراعاة سياسات الدولة الاقتصادية
والاجتماعية والبيئية المعلنة من مجلس الوزراء فى تعاقداتها ، ومراعاة اعتبارات الجودة
والتكلفة ، وتحقيق أفضل قيمة للمال العام على أساس كامل دورة الحياة لما يطرح ، ويجب
تضمين متطلبات التعاقد المستدام شروط ومعايير التأهيل والتقييم ومؤشرات الأداء وغيرها .
