إذا وقعت على مجني عليه مصاب باضطراب نفسي أو عقلي جناية أو جنحة من جرائم الاعتداء على النفس، جاز لسلطة التحقيق أن تصدر أمرا بإيداعه مؤقتا في إحدى منشآت الصحة النفسية لتلقي العلاج والرعاية الطبية، وفقا لأحكام الدخول الإلزامي المنصوص عليها بقانون رعاية المريض النفسي المشار إليه.
