١ - الخصم اتفاق يتعهد البنك بمقتضاه بأن يدفع مقدما قيمة صك قابل للتداول إلى المستفيد فى الصك مقابل نقل ملكيته إلى البنك مع التزام المستفيد برد القيمة الإسمية إلى البنك إذا لم يدفعها المدين الأصلى .
٢ - يخصم البنك مما يدفعه للمستفيد من الخصم نسبة من مبلغ الصك فضلا عن العمولة إن كانت مشروطة .
