تسرى أحكام هذا القانون على الأماكن المؤجرة لغرض السكنى والأماكن المؤجرة للأشخاص الطبيعية لغير غرض السكنى وفقا لأحكام القانونين رقمي ٤٩ لسنة ١٩٧٧ في شأن تأجير وبيع الأماكن وتنظيم العلاقة بين المؤجر والمستأجر ، و١٣٦ لسنة ١٩٨١ في شأن بعض الأحكام الخاصة بتأجير وبيع الأماكن وتنظيم العلاقة بين المؤجر والمستأجر .
