تحول هيئة كهرباء مصر إلى شركة مساهمة مصرية تسمى "الشركة القابضة لكهرباء مصر"، وذلك اعتبارا من تاريخ العمل بهذا القانون وتؤول إلى تلك الشركة جميع الحقوق العينية والشخصية للهيئة السابقة. وتتحمل بجميع التزاماتها، وتكون لها الشخصية الاعتبارية وتعتبر من أشخاص القانون الخاص.
