يجب فى مواد الجنايات أن يكون للمتهم أمام محكمة الأحداث محام يدافع عنه ، فإذا لم يكن قد اختار محاميا ، عين له قاضى التحقيق أو مستشار الإحالة أو المحكمة من يدافع عنه من المحامين ، و يتبع فى ذلك ما هو مقرر أمام محكمة الجنايات .
