Article 33 of the Water Resources and Irrigation Law

إذا قامت الوزارة على نفقتها باتخاذ الوسائل اللازمة لتوصيل المياه من النيل أو من إحدى الترع العامة أو من إحدى الآبار الجوفية ، لأرض تروى من أحد مآخذ المياه الخاصة والواقعة فى جسور النيل أو فى جسور إحدى الترع العامة ، يتعين على الإدارة العامة المختصة أن تأمر بإلغاء المآخذ الخاصة أو إزالتها على نفقة الدولة وذلك بعد إخطار ذوى الشأن أو روابط مستخدمى المياه ذات الصلة .
