تختص مصلحة الأحوال المدنية وفروعها بتسجيل وقائع الأحوال المدنية المشار إليها في المادتين السابقتين في سجلات الوقائع المقابلة، كما تختص بإصدار شهادات الميلاد والوفاة وبطاقات تحقيق الشخصية وقيد الأسرة وصور من جميع قيود الأحوال المدنية المسجلة لديها على النحو المبين بهذا القانون ولائحته التنفيذية.
