يجب على واضع اليد على الوحدة العقارية أيا كان سبب وضع يده أن يمكن الموظفين المنوط بهم عملية المساحة من القيام بعملية التحديد , وعلى رجال الضبطية القضائية أو رجال الإدارة تمكين هؤلاء الموظفين من وضع العلامات اللازمة لتحديد الوحدات العقارية .
