تبدأ مهمة الوسيط من تاريخ إحالة النزاع إليه ، وعليه إنجاز مهمته خلال شهر .
وللوسيط جميع الصلاحيات فى نظر النزاع ، والإلمام بعناصره ، وله على وجه الخصوص سماع طرفى النزاع والاطلاع على ما يلزم من مستندات ، وطلب البيانات والمعلومات التى تعينه على أداء مهمته .
