تحدد أقسام الدراسة فى نوعيات التعليم الثانوى الفنى وفقا لمتطلبات خطط التنمية والظروف المحلية .
ويصدر وزير التعليم بعد موافقة المجلس الأعلى للتعليم قرارات بالمواد الدراسية التى تشملها كل مجموعة فى كل نوعية من نوعيات التعليم الثانوى الفنى وشعبه وطريقة توزيع المواد الدراسية وعدد الدروس المخصصة لها على الصفوف المختلفة وكذلك المناهج والكتب الدراسية اللازمة ، ونظم التقويم والامتحان .
